Ayatollah Araki to Attend Islam against Terrorism Conference
TEHRAN (IQNA) – Secretary General of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought Ayatollah Mohsen Araki will take part in the upcoming anti- terrorism conference in Tajikistan.
He has been invited by the Central Asian country’s officials to attend the event.
Titled “Islam against Religious Extremism and Terrorism”, the conference is slated to be held in Tajikistan’s capital of Dushanbe on Wednesday and Thursday, July 22-23.
A number of Muslim scholars and religious experts from Tajikistan and a number of other countries will take part in the international event.
It aims to convey the message that Islam is a religion of peace and that it can never be linked to terrorism and extremism.
