TEHRAN (IQNA) – Head of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO) said the 38th anniversary of the victory of Iran’s Islamic Revolution will be celebrated in 60 countries.

Speaking at a press conference on Sunday, Abuzar Ebrahimi Torkaman said 80 Iranian cultural centers and culture houses abroad will hold various programs on the occasion.

A number of institutions and organizations including the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS) World Forum, Al-Mustafa International University, IRIB, and the ministries of foreign affairs and culture and Islamic guidance will cooperate in organizing the programs.

Holding forums and lectures on the Islamic Revolution and the character of Imam Khomeini (RA), mounting photo and poster exhibitions and book fairs, unveiling translations of 50 books, holding Iranian film weeks, are on the agenda of the culture centers during the Ten Days of Dawn celebrations, he went on to say.

Every year, millions of Iranians across the country observe ten days of celebrations, known as the Ten-Day Dawn, marking the anniversary of the victory of the revolution that put an end to the monarchy of the US-backed Pahlavi regime in the country.

The day of Imam Khomeini’s return to Iran marks the beginning of the Ten Days of Dawn, which culminates with the anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution on February 10.

The Iranian nation toppled the US-backed Pahlavi regime 38 years ago, ending the 2,500 years of monarchic rule in the country.

The Islamic Revolution spearheaded by the late Imam Khomeini established a new political system based on Islamic values and democracy.
