According to Emirati media, the second edition of Sheikha Fatima International Holy Quran Competition, which started in Dubai on November 12, will come to an end in a ceremony on Wednesday night.
Winners of the contest in different categories will be awarded at the closing ceremony.
It will also include recitation of verses from the Quran by the top contenders.
75 contestants of different recitation schools - Hafs, Warsh and Qaloon - from around the world participated in the competition.
Ibrahim Mohammed Bu Melha, head of the organizing committee, said the contest was received very well this year.
He said that as of next year, the competition will also include a Top Quranic Personality of the Year category.
The top female Quranic personality will be selected from among those who significantly contribute to the promotion of the Quranic culture, he added.
