According to elbalad.news, Hamid Abu Warda, an official with the Dar-ol-Quran, said that the center started to hold the Quranic program for the disabled from the beginning of 2018.
It can be considered as a progress in the Quranic activities of the center which helps the disabled in the society to learn the Quran, he said.
He added that the center’s Quran memorization circles for the visually and hearing impaired have been underway since 2014 and every year about 120 participants memorize the Quran.
Abu Warda went on to say that although skillful Quran teachers and experts in sign language are cooperating with the center in holding the circles, teaching the disabled students needs special equipment and financial support.
