Funeral of Terror Attack Martyrs to Be Held Monday
TEHRAN (IQNA) – A funeral will be held in Ahvaz, southwestern Iranian province of Khuzestan, on Monday for those killed in a terrorist attack on Saturday.
The bodies of the martyrs will be carried from Sarallah Husseiniya (religious center) to Zand crossroads and then taken to the cemetery to be laid to rest.
Senior officials and people from all walks of life are expected to take part in the funeral.
During a military parade in Ahvaz, which was staged concurrently with nationwide military parades on Saturday to mark the Sacred Defense Week, Takfiri militants wearing disguise opened fire at the people participating in the ceremony.
At least 25 people were killed and more than 60 other injured in the attack.
According to media reports, the Al-Ahvaziya terrorist group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
