The 40th edition of the competition was held in four categories, including memorization, recitation and interpretation of the Quran.
It began in the holy city of Medina on October 6 with the participation of 116 Quran activists from 82 countries.
An international course on refereeing in international Quran contests was held on the sidelines of the main event.
Quran experts from 24 countries attended the course, which aimed to enhance the level of refereeing in international Quranic events.
