National Eulogy Competition to Be held in Iraq
TEHRAN (IQNA) – The Astan (custodianship) of Imam Hussein’s (AS) holy shrine will organize the third edition of a national eulogy competition for girls and boys.
According to the website of the Astan, Sheikh Mahdi Al-Khazayi, head of the Husseini Songs Section of the Astan said that 66 male and female eulogists will compete in two levels based on their skills.
Courses for training eulogists have been held ahead of the competition to promote the skills of the participants, he said.
Al-Khazayi added that the eulogists have been selected from among 200 applicants from 9 provinces of Iraq.
The competition will be supervised by eminent and internationally known experts to idendify top talents.
Three top eulogists in each group of girls and boys will be awarded, he added.
