The sermons are currently translated to eight languages.
Mohamed Mukhtar Guma said translating the sermons is done with the aim of promoting Islam’s human and moral values among Muslims and non-Muslims.
It also aims to spread moderate Islam to the whole world, he added.
He made the remarks on Saturday in a meeting with students of an international academy for training preachers and prayer leaders.
Guma went on to say that the ministry pays special attention to the translation of the sermons every week.
The decision comes after the success of airing sermons in foreign languages.
