IQNA – The Iranian cultural attaché in Armenia met with the dean of theology faculty of the University of Yerevan for talks on enhancing cooperation.

Mohammad Assadi Movahed and Bishop Anoushavan Zhamkochyan exchanged views on holding interfaith forums to introduce the capacities of Islam and Christianity.

The Iranian cultural envoy hailed the good ties between the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Cultural Center in Armenia and the theology faculty of the University of Yerevan.

He said faculties of theology in Iran, especially the one at Ferdowsi University in Mashhad, are ready to organize joint cultural and religious forums to promote knowledge about Islamic and Christianity.

Highlighting the importance of introducing the capacities of the two religions, Assadi Movahed voiced the cultural center’s readiness to work for holding interfaith forums in Iran and Armenia.
