Leader Appoints New Representative in Hajj, Pilgrimage Affairs

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei appointed his new representative in Hajj and pilgrimage affairs.

According to the Leader’s website, Ayatollah Khamenei in a decree appointed Hojat-ol-Islam Seyed Abdol Fattah Navab to the post.

Navab will replace Hojat-ol-Islam Seyed Ali Qaziaskar, who had served in the post since 2010.

The Leader thanked Qaziaskar for his successful efforts during his tenure and wished success for Navab in the new post.

Every year, Iran sends some 86,000 pilgrims to Saudi Arabia for Hajj.
