500 Qaris to Attend Morocco Int’l Tajweed Festival

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The 7th international Tajweed festival of Morocco will be held in the city of Casablanca later this week.

Some 500 men and women Qaris from different parts of Morocco and other countries will take part in the program, which also includes a competition.

The contest is held in four age groups in separate sections for men and women.

Prominent Qari and Tajweed expert Hajar Busaq will also be honored at the festival.

The Badra Social Development Association organizes the festival, according to oujdacity.net.

In the context of the recitation of the Quran, Tajweed is a set of rules for the correct pronunciation of the letters with all their qualities and applying the various traditional methods of recitation.
