Winners of Quran Competition Honored in Peshawar

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Top participants in a competition on Quran recitation, memorization and Quranic concepts held by Iranian Cultural Center in Peshawar, Pakistan, were honored in a ceremony.

 

As many as 85 Qaris and Quran memorizers from different parts of the country took part in the contest.

The Iranian Culture House hosted the Quranic event on April 29 and 30.

The competition was supervised by Mufti Abdul Rahman Rahimi, Friday prayers leader, Rubinah Mu’een, head of the women branch of Minhaj Al-Quran Movement in Peshawar, Shahid A’dham Al-Azhari, former Qari of the state media of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, Seyyed Wakil Hussein Naqawi, head of the Quranic Activities Office of Martyr Aref Hussein Al-Husseini Seminary and Gol Ali Ja’fari, famous Qari of Kohat city.

The winners of the competition were honored in the ceremony, which was attended by some Shia and Sunni scholars, Quran experts and Iranian officials in Peshawar.
