Majlis Approves Next Year's Quranic Budget

The Majlis (Iran’s parliament) has allotted 2000 billion rials for Quranic activities next year.

The decision was made the final session of Majlis to discuss the annual budget for Iran’s next fiscal year (March 2014- March 2015.
In its proposed budget bill, the government had proposed allocation of 2000 billion rials for implementing the Charter for Development of the Quranic Culture.
The proposed amount was approved by the Majlis and thus the Quranic budget of the country for next year was determined.
Laleh Eftekhari, head of the Quran, Etrat and Prayers Fraction of the Majlis had previously told IQNA that the budget considered for Quranic activities is allocated based on the needs of the Quranic community and the performance of the country’s Quranic institutes and bodies.
