Quran Reading Session to Be Held in Azerbaijan

TEHRAN (IQNA) – A Quran reading session is planned to be organized later today in Baku, the Republic of Azerbaijan, with the participation of Iranian and Azerbaijani Qaris.

 

It will be held on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan. 

Hojat-ol-Islam Seyyed Ali Akbar Ojaghnezhad, representative of the Islamic Revolution's Leader in Azerbaijan will also deliver a speech in the program.

It will be recorded and the video of the program will be broadcast on the occasion of Imam Hassan’s (AS) birth anniversary on the 15th day of the holy month of Ramadan, which falls on April 28.

The program can be watched on Iran medeniyet Merkezi page on YouTube at 6 p.m. local time.

Ramadan is the ninth month in the Islamic calendar. It is a period of prayer, fasting, charity giving and self–accountability for Muslims around the world.

During Ramadan, Muslims fast (abstain from foods and drinks) from sunrise to sunset.

They also devote a considerable amount of time during this month to reading and contemplating the Quran.
