Gen. Soleimani Turned Resistance’s Strategic Threat against Israel into Reality: Hezbollah Official
Speaking at a forum in the town of Bait al-Jabal, Sheikh Nabil Qaouk said General Soleimani helped to turn the dream of resistance’s strategic threat against the Zionist regime into reality.
He added that the Zionist regime is today surrounded by the missiles targeting it from all sides.
Sheikh Qaouk made the remarks ahead of the anniversary of the senior commander’s martyrdom.
General Soleimani, who was the commander of the IRGC Quds Force, Iraqi Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) Deputy Commander Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, and a number of their entourage were killed in a strike by American drones near Baghdad International Airport in the early hours of January 3, 2020.
The White House and the Pentagon claimed responsibility for the assassinations, saying the attack was carried out at the direction of then US president Donald Trump.
Hezbollah Secretary General Sayed Hassan Nasrallah has said that Lt. Soleimani held a high position in his heart firstly due to the friendship, brotherhood and feelings that existed between them, and secondly because his existence served Islam, Muslims, the Muslim world as well as the axis of resistance more than anyone else.
