TEHRAN (IQNA) – God has created the world in such a way that mankind is the pivot of creation and whatever there is in the material world is under his control.

Holy Quran, 53:39

Mankind must use his thinking power to find strategies that will lead him to reach his objective. But that is not enough as making efforts is also necessary for gaining one’s objectives.

The teachings of Quran and Hadiths underline the importance of making efforts and ban laziness and inaction.

God says in verse 10 of Surah Al-A’raf: “We have made you inhabit the land and provided you with the means of sustenance. Only a few of you give thanks.”

In this verse, God notes that He has given mankind power in the earth and also means for livelihood.

The day is an opportunity for us to work and make efforts to use divine blessings. The blessings of God given to us include our body, health, power to work, etc, that we can use to reach our objectives: “In His Mercy He has appointed for you the night and the day, so that you can rest in it, and seek His bounty, in order that you will be thankful.” (Surah Al-Qasas, Verse 73)

There is no excuse for mankind to not strive as God has paved the way for him. He has put whatever there is in the heavens and earth at the service of man: “Do you not see how Allah has subjected to you all that is in the heavens and the earth, and lavished on you His visible and unseen favors? Yet some people would argue about Allah without knowledge, or guidance, or an Illuminating Book.” (Surah Luqman, Verse 20)

God likes those who strive and helps them. According to Hadiths, God likes traders who are trustworthy and helps them and gives them blessings.

On the other hand, the holy Prophet (PBUH) said God does not answer the prayers of several groups of people, one of whom is the lazy who refuse to work and make efforts.

Now that God has put everything in this world at the service of human beings, we are obliged to strive to find ways for happiness and salvation.
